Puttu is a unique and delicious breakfast item from Kerala, parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It is made with coarse rice flour, desiccated coconut layers. It is steamed in a cylindrical tube with alternate layers of rice flour and coconut.
Puttu can be had with Kadala Curry (Spicy Chickpea curry) or Chicken Curry.
